(Sunset Valley/KJCE) Three teenagers and another driver are in the hospital following a three-vehicle, pin-in crash late Saturday night in Sunset Valley.

Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the collision in the 5800 block of Brodie Lane around 11:50 p.m. When paramedics arrived, they had to extricate three female teenagers - a 17-year old driver and two 16-year old passengers - from one of the vehicles; at least one of the girls suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.

All three teenagers, plus the driver from a second vehicle, were transported to South Austin Medical Center under a trauma alert. The third driver involved was treated for minor injuries by paramedics and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
