March 20, 2017 - 5:24 am

(Austin/KJCE) Two Austin-area IHOP restaurants were robbed at gunpoint this morning, and Austin Police believe the same suspect is involved.

Around 3:45 a.m., the IHOP on South MoPac at Bee Cave Road was robbed; roughly an hour later, the second restaurant at 901 East Koenig near U.S. 290 and Interstate 35 was robbed.

Police say the suspect they are looking for is described as a black male, wearing a bandana covering his face. He also had on a blue hoodie with white sleeves. Police say that although no one was injured in the robberies, the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

This is a developing story and will be updated with additional information.
