Construction crane falls, injures 2 in south Austin

AUSTIN (KJCE) -- A construction crane fell at a south Austin construction site Wednesday morning, injuring two workers.
Officials responded to 2300 East St. Elmo Road just before 9:00 a.m. Wednesday. One adult male, who was reportedly pinned under the crane, was transported to South Austin Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; another worker injured in the accident refused transport by Austin-Travis County EMS.

Austin Fire officials delineated a collapse hazard zone around the area and were preparing to turn the scene back over to the construction company.
