Austin police identify victim in NE Austin apartment shooting

(Austin/KJCE) Austin Police have identified the victim in last week's fatal shooting on Northeast Austin; the city's 7th murder of 2017.

Investigators say 21-year old Ruler Bailey was gunned down at the Rare Apartments in the 6400 block of Springdale Road at approximately 12:46 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15. Officers arrived and located Bailey, who had sustained obvious trauma to his body. Austin-Travis County EMS also arrived and began resuscitation efforts.

Bailey was transported to University Medical Center at Brackenridge hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
